I don't tend to blog about these things too often, but there's been some pretty exciting press about piddix lately that I wanted to share. The first is a book called Photoshop Wow by the lovely and talented Linnea Dayton. Linnea first contacted me almost two years ago to be part of her Photoshop book and it was finally published last week. It features at least a dozen pages on piddix including an "artist gallery spread," a "secrets" spread, and sample piddix images on the CD (not that I'm counting or anything ;). Fun!
The banner for the piddix blog was recently picked by Artful Blogging as part of their "Banners We Love" section. I was especially excited for this one because it's an original collage I made based on some of my favorite scans.
And finally, the always-amazing Jessica Moreau-Berry of Junque Revival has a huge article featuring her jewelry in the Winter 2010 Belle Armoire Jewelry. Here's my favorite line (of course) that also happens to be the first line in the article:"As a found object jewelry artist, I am always looking for new ways to combine my favorite antique treasures with the beautiful images of nature that I download and purchase from piddix.etsy.com."

This is a wonderful blog. Your topics and advice are very educational. I found you looking up Etsy's top ten. I am a ceramic artist and am interested in finding imagery that I can make into decals to put onto my work.

Congratulations. Was fun browsing through your blog today. I love the way you write from the heart and perhaps you've just kicked my butt in gear to get collage sheets finalized. I've been painting background papers for months, on and off as I play with my art and kept saying, "one day I'll turn them into collage sheets" but have been really laxed on the idea. Plus, I have a ton of photos I took that I wanted to turn into themed sheets but have been reluctant as I struggle with Paintshop Pro and cannot afford Photoshop as of yet. Anway, congrats again.
