Day 45: A Day Off?

A pretty 1960s damask pattern from the new piddix collection.
In my mind I've written a human resources manual for piddix. Important aspects include: dogs are allowed in the workplace and piddix covers insurance for all full-time employees. Since I'm the only full-time piddix employee, the manual hasn't quite made it out of my brain and onto paper yet. But when it does, I think I need to add "piddix is closed between Christmas and New Years."

For three years of piddix's existence I really never took one day off. Even when traveling I'd bring my computer and fulfill email orders. But part of growing my business is having piddix work for me, rather than the other way around. To be honest, I love working all the time (for the most part). But sometimes it's nice to sit around and play board games with family, too.

Well deserved and don't feel a bit sorry about it! I closed all my shops on Etsy and everyone always says, Nooooooo! Don't do it!!! but I want to completely decompress, not worry about answering people back in a timely manner and most importantly, spend it with my loved ones. Glad you are too; enjoy the week and rejuvenating start to the New Year!

It's hard to not work (I'm obviously doing it right now), but definitely something I should do. Thanks all!
